Løsningen på HD lyd problemet i HTPC er vel snart en sagablott!
Auzentech utvikler en løsning som iallefall på papiret ser ut til å dekke alle behov.
Man må ha et Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 lydkort (koster rundt 200 USD, 2000 kr på shg.no) og i andre kvartal 2008 vil det bli sluppet en ekstra modul som heter Auzentech HDMI X-Tension (kommer til å koste rundt 70 USD ifølge rykter).
Måten dette fungerer på er vel at man tar DVI ut fra skjermkort, til DVI inn i X-Tension, for så å bruke en egen HDMI utgang fra denne X-Tension modulen for å få en kabel til HD lyd og bilde. Høres ut som en bra løsning!:)

The Auzen X-Tension HDMI1.3 with Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 supports by 96kHz LPCM.
As for the 192kHz, it will support in 2channel PCM only
