Samsung HT-P1200 - Question

it says in this review that they managed to play an ipod through the usb connection. i took my ipod and connection into the 'expert' store to try it out as I was a little sceptical. it did not work, on the screen was just 'cannot read disk' - or something like that. i'm not sure if i was doing anything wrong.
can anyone confirm if it is possible to play the ipod through the usb port on the Samsung HT-P1200.
